Colleen Zimmerman ran as Ontario’s Markham-Unionville District New Democratic Party candidate for a seat in Canada’s House of Commons in 2015. She was crushed by Conservative Party candidate Bob Saroya, who went on to serve in the Canadian Parliament from 2015-2021. Colleen came in a very distant third, garnering just over 5% of the vote, while the two major party candidates raked in the overwhelming majority in the predominately Chinese riding (electoral district). Colleens’s official candidate profile and her long abandoned Twitter (now X) candidate account are both still up, as of the writing.
After her extremely poor showing in the 2015 Canadian Federal Election, it seems that Colleen abandoned her political pursuits and returned to private life, which we won’t delve into as this article is not intended. This is about Colleen’s appearances in the public eye that occurred before her run for a seat in the Canadian Parliament.
In case you think Colleen looks familiar, but you can’t quite place her, or even if you believe you have never seen her before, but wouldn’t mind seeing (a lot) more of her (even though it may be from as much as 20 years ago), please read on.
Long before throwing her hat in the political arena, Colleen did some acting. She was credited as “student” in an episode of fifth season of the popular comedy Trailer Park Boys entitled “The Winds of Shit, ” that aired May 29, 2005. Despite her very brief and only appearance in just a single episode, Colleen made a lasting impression on fans. There is a (now long closed) Reddit thread on her and her character, in which she is referred to by the locker number and combination her character (“Student”) gives Ricky so he’ll know where to get the money and place the hash, which he sells to the students at the vocational school where he works as a custodian.
Colleen’s IMDb credits also include behind-the-scenes roles on the kid’s TV cooking show Taste Buds (as a receptionist from 2009-2010) and the animated series Skatoony (in 2011, also as a receptionist). However, it was Colleen’s October 2005 endeavor that truly revealed all of her sides.
Here’s the juiciest nugget from Colleen’s past on-camera endeavors; back on October 12th of 2005 (what was actually during, rather than before, her acting career), auditioning under the alias “Krista” for the Toronto-based “show with nothing to hide,” Naked News. Here Colleen/Krista handles the teleprompter reading fairly well as she presents an “In Focus” look at Paris Hilton while wearing absolutely nothing, other than a wristwatch. As the slim, small breasted, faint landing strip sporting, and tattoo-free Colleen/Krista takes her customary Naked News walkaway from the camera, it’s revealed she even did the segment barefoot, which is something Naked News anchors (guest or regular) rarely did then or do now. However, Colleen/Krista opted to get fully dressed for her “Guest Anchor One on One” interview in which she mentions her Trailer Park Boys episode appearance that aired in late May of that same year. The clothed anchor cut to after Colleen/Krista’s interview is Christine Kerr (Tanya Rigley), who appeared on the show from 2005 to 2012.
Even though Colleen/Krista turned in a decent audition (she only auditioned and appeared on Naked News this one time and was never a “guest anchor,” despite what the introduction reads) and Naked News doesn’t require their anchors to be a minimum bra cup size, Colleen/Krista didn’t become a regular, or even guest, anchor. Whether she wasn’t chosen by the producers of the show or she was chosen and turned them down, is unknown by us. A Reddit poster commented on Colleen having a noticeable lisp, but that didn’t prove to be a hindrance or distraction during her audition. Anyway, if you had seen this audition before, and knew who Colleen Zimmerman was, but didn’t make the Colleen/”Krista” connection; it must have been the clothing that threw you off. It always does.
No, Naked News anchors didn’t need to be stacked. Yukiko Kimura, Anthea King (pre boob job) are just a couple of anchors who come to mind who had pretty small pairs. Even Victoria Sinclair and Roxanne West weren’t busty, but if Colleen would have been chosen, I believe she would have had been the anchor with the smallest tits ever.
Yes, those tits of hers are tiny, but she also seemed a little awkward in her delivery, and since she choose to get dressed for the post audition interview, she probably wasn’t Naked News material. Colleen’s audition was probably a “bucket list” kinda thing for her, and she didn’t expect to get an offer to become a nude newscaster.
