There are countless amateur singers and musicians across social media showcasing their talents, but it’s not ever day you catch one who really stands out. Someone who really sets themselves apart, makes you stop and take notice, and is worthy of a double take. Trombonist Ally Moore is such a musician. When Ally plays a song, she doesn’t just play it, she feels it and makes the listener feel it as well.
Take for example, a few of the Instagram comments Ally has received from fans on her above performance of Toto’s 1982 hit “Africa”:
“Wow! Never seen anyone playing like this before!!!!” – leandrop._batista
“Like it was written for trombone but they added unnecessary lyrics” – kevinp0st
“You left me speechless!!” – claudiogonzaloduque
“I’ve worked half of my life for this algorithm” – x_picchi_x
“I cried to the magic you just created” – sailingkewlchange
“needs more cowbell” – big.mac.liammckenna
Some of the other songs Ally has covered are Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the Bee Gees’ “Stayin Alive,” and Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” all of which have received similar comments from followers who have found Ally’s skills, and the fact that she is willing to upload videos of herself displaying those skills, truly remarkable.
Although trombone is her specialty, Ally occasionally does vocal performances while accompanying herself on guitar, so see and hear more of Ally’s masterful musical performances at her Instagram and TikTok pages.
