Above is Canadian comedienne Vida Zukauskas doing a short stand-up routine at one of the Yuk Yuk’s comedy clubs in Canada. (There are several, not sure which one this was at.) She didn’t exactly knock ’em dead with her deadpan delivery, but she got enough laughs to say she sure didn’t bomb. If you think you’ve seen Vida before, but can’t place where or would just like to see a lot more of her, read on.
Here is Vida in late 2012, auditioning (supposedly) as “Sarah” for the Toronto-based nude news show Naked News. This bit, which Naked News anchor Erica Stevens (Zoe Thorn) says during the introduction, was “so odd, we initially thought Sarah was trying to pull a fast one on us,” was included in the 2013 mini series Naked News Uncovered.
Wearing what appears to be a blonde wig and (of course) nothing else, Vida/Sarah awkwardly delivers an “In Focus” look at actress Sasha Grey (Marina Ann Hantzis, who successfully made the transition from porn to more legit endeavors). Seated next to Erica, the other half of bare pair who introduce Vida/Sarah, is her fellow Naked News anchor Marina Valmont (aka Cherish Amour). Although Marina says Vida’s/Sarah’s audition is “100% genuine,” we still have our doubts.
