Rene Bond (1950-1996) was one of the big names on the West Coast porn scene during the 1970’s. She began her film career in the late 1960s, appearing in softcore exploitation films and made the move to hardcore in the early 70s, appearing in approximately 80 films by the time she retired from porn in the late 80s. She was also one of the first porn actresses to have breast augmentation surgery, which she underwent in 1977, in an effort to boost her popularity among fans with the “North American breast fetish.” She was posthumously inducted into the AVN (Adult Video News) Hall of Fame in 1998.
