Even though many of her film roles have been small “blink-and-you’ll-miss-her” parts, actress Talia Russo has built up a long list of television and film credits, starting with a role as a dancer in a 1999 episode of the Toronto-based live music TV show, Electric Circus. In the above clip from the Netflix series Sex/Lies, we see Talia in her most recently listed role, credited as “Bartender,” in the seventh episode of the first season of the 2021-2023 show. Albeit this was her only scene in the only episode she appeared in, and she delivered just one line (“Having a good time?”), it’s still a safe bet that fans who followed this series during its two-season run, will remember the bartender (referred to as “random chick” by main female character “Billie”) who made out with main male character “Brad” at Billie’s cousin’s wedding.
If you think you may have seen (a lot more of) Talia before, either from the above clip of from one of her other roles, and can’t place her, or you have never seen her anywhere before, but, after seeing her in the above scene, would simply like to see (a lot) more of her, read on.
Here’s Talia, back on October 25, 2013, hiding (almost) nothing while auditioning fully nude under the name “Mila,” for the Toronto-based “show with nothing to hide,” Naked News.
Despite turning in a good audition, obviously possessing the assets needed for the job, and even opting to do the post-audition, on-camera interview while still fully nude, Talia/Mila didn’t become a permanent Naked News anchor. Whether she was passed on by the show’s producers or she, herself passed on becoming a regular part of the show, is unclear. Either way, it was Naked News‘ loss. The bare and slightly lesser-endowed blonde beauty introducing Mila’s above audition is Peyton Priestly (Ashley Byford), who was with Naked News from 2011 to 2015.
If you happen to be someone who saw Talia as the bartender in Sex/Life and thought she looked familiar because you saw her on Naked News, but didn’t make the connection, it must have been the clothing that threw you off. That always seems to do it.
Something else that is worth pointing out is that, even though Talia did several films and TV shows after her 2013 Naked News audition, most of her credits, some of which were brief nude scenes, she racked up before she bared all in her effort to become a nude newscaster. It’s unusual in that most ladies who take it all off to audition for Naked News, do so early in their careers, before they score any mainstream IMDb credits. Also of note is that her 2013 Naked News audition she did as “Mila” is not listed at her IMDb page.
She did good, but judging from her closed legged stance, she wasn’t 100% comfortable being completely nude in that situation. Wonder if she’s done anything since Sex/Lies that just may not be listed at her IMDb page?
I agree. Compare Mila’s stance to the way Peyton Priestly was standing when she introduced her. This was right near the end of the “Victoria Sinclair era” when anchors were starting to show a little more and Mila seemed a little shy about letting the camera have a pussy peek.
