Nearly a decade from the height of her early stardom, Lindsay Lohan has gained a reputation of being “difficult to work with.” Her behavior on and off set did nothing to dispel such rumors.
The Canyons was as low-budget a production as any of the big name players had ever done. Lohan promised to be naked and obliged only long enough to fulfill that contractual obligation. A profile of the film’s disastrous making in the New York Times magazine did nothing but confirm the suspicions that Lohan’s time in the spotlight was just about over. Perhaps the only thing saving the film from utter obscurity was the selling point of Lohan’s nude debut.
