Deadly Cinema with Jami Deadly

The blonde sexy horror hostess who broke tradition

Unlike her mostly raven haired counterparts, horror hostesses Jami Deadly (real name; Jami Edwards) conveyed a Marilyn Monroe-esque persona for Deadly Cinema, which ran from 2003-2005 on NTTV, a student television station at the University of North Texas in Denton. Originally from Texas, but now calling Las Vegas home, Jamie has been quoted as saying; “The tradition of the horror hostess had always been that of a sexy dark haired ghoul in a tattered dress. As wonderful as that is, I thought it was quite time to let blondes have in on some of the fun…”

After Deadly Cinema‘s brief run, Jami continued to perform on the burlesque stage and has done some modeling, but she has made her biggest mark as one of the top Marilyn Monroe tribute performers in the world, which is no wonder. Her film appearances include the 2006 documentary Vampira: The Movie, in which she appeared as herself, and in the 2007 thriller Devil Girl. in which she appeared as a burlesque dancer. These days Jamie seems to be retired from performing and only makes rare public appearances. Her official website DeadlyCurves.com is long defunct, but bits and pieces of it can still be seen on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. To see more of Jamie from her heyday, go to Page 2.
