Bollywood actress and model Poonam Pandey recently joined the ranks of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge-takers in a fashion that was of no surprise to those familiar with her, mainly thanks to social media.
In 2011, Miss Pandey gained media attention when she pledged to strip if the Indian national cricket team won the Cricket World Cup that year. Perhaps that was all the motivation the team needed, as they did go on to win the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka in the final, also becoming the first team to win the championship in their home country. Unfortunately, Miss Pandey claimed she was denied permission to keep her promise to bare all by the Indian Board of Control for Cricket. However, she did make up for it by having herself recorded as she snuck into India’s Wankhede Stadium (the venue for the 2011 final match) at night and disrobed in a stadium seat.
