Natasha Novy – Last Christmas

Since her last feature here, artist Natasha Novy has taken her singing to the next level.  Besides performing outstanding covers, she has been writing her own songs and preparing an EP slated to be released next year. She’s also branched out to modeling and dancing, evident by her Instagram page.

Just in time for Christmas, Natasha’s above music video for her cover of “Last Christmas,” (written by George Michael and originally released on Wham!’s 1984 album, Music from the Edge of Heaven) is the latest addition to her Youtube channel.

CHRIS: You do an amazing cover of “Last Christmas.” Where did you record it and did you choose to sing that song or did someone suggested you sing that song?
NATASHA: Thanks! I’ve recorded it at home, we have a little home studio. I’m choosing the songs myself usually, just was very sick for very long and when I recovered it was December, so I tried to cheer myself up this way. I’ve caught a cold when I was recording to be honest, but I really really wanted to make this song to create some Christmas mood.
CHRIS: So, do you still sing semi-professionally?
NATASHA: I just sing. Being a pro to me means that it’s your main occupation and you make a living doing that, so from that perspective I can’t call myself a professional, but I learn all the time, making my channel, writing my own songs and preparing an EP next year, so I can’t say it’s semi-professional, because I dedicate myself to it a lot. Let’s say I just sing.
CHRIS: How long have been studying dance?
NATASHA: Just a couple of months.
CHRIS: From the videos I’ve seen, you already look like a professional. What first got you interested in dance?
NATASHA: I still need to practice a lot. I just like dances in general and gym seems really boring for me, so I’ve decided to try and I have absolutely no regrets. I’ve found amazing friends and an amazing hobby.
