Cosplayer Ellie Villafane accepted my April 28th interview request with a “thumbs up” emoji and her e-mail address. I had my doubts that she would reply to my questions, but gave her the benefit of those doubts and sent her my questions anyway.
Not surprisingly, after a few weeks passed and my subsequent offers to do a Skype interview to save her the trouble of typing her answers and an offer to do just a one-question interview (the former not replied to and the latter met with only another meaningless “thumbs up” emoji), I knew we had another for our Incomplete Interview File™. So, enjoy the following questions that Ellie Villafane not only didn’t bother to answer, she may not have even bothered to read. At left is where a photo of Ellie would have been.
CHRIS CHARLES: I understand you’re originally from Massachusetts. What brought you to Florida?
ELLIE VILLAFANE:
CHRIS: How did you first get into cosplay?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Of all the characters you’ve cosplayed as, what have been some of your favorites?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Are there any characters you’d particularly like to cosplay as that you haven’t yet?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Do you make a lot of your own costumes?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Any idea how much money you spend annually on costumes?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Have you ever had an public “wardrobe malfunctions” with any of your skimpier costumes?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: What have been some of your favorite cosplay conventions/events you’ve appeared at?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: I see you’ve performed on stage at some of those conventions/events?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Any particular cosplay conventions or events you haven’t been to yet, but would love to appear at?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Are there any other well-known cosplayers your particularly admire?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: You told me you aren’t a member of Cosplay Deviants, but wish you were. Does the nudity aspect of being a Cosplay Deviant make you reluctant to join their ranks?
ELLIE:
CHRIS: Do you have any plans or desires to branch out to acting someday?

CHRIS: Do you have any interests or hobbies most people don’t know about?
