Sacramento Horror Film Festival
September 29 @ 3:00 PM - September 30 @ 11:30 PM PDT
(Paraphrased from the SHFF’s official website) Founded in 2007 by Tim Meunier, the Sacramento Horror Film Festival screens all things horror, including features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, trailers, and animations. They also enhance the film going experience between film programs by inserting live music, performance art, interactive games, costume contests, and comedy, which are all hosted by horror host personalities.
The SHFF was named “The Best Place for a Real Horror Show” in the “2008 Best of: Unauthorized” issue of the Sacramento News & Review. The festival is held at the historic Colonial Theater in Sacramento, California, which first opened its doors in 1939. The director operates the SHFF with the support of its fellowship of horror fanatics and filmmakers.
