Last time Idol Features caught up with director Lauryn Green, production had just wrapped on her debut feature film, JED. These days, the North Carolina-based artist is gearing up for her next film; a dramatic short set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
On October 11th, Mabig Film Festival held its second annual event. Director Andreea Boyer welcomed filmmakers and guests at Augsburg’s Il Gladiatore, restaurant, hotel, and winebar.

Andreea Boyer’s most recent short film, Ella, is the story of a young woman, played by Andreea in the title role, coming to terms with her drinking and partying lifestyle and the affect it is taking on her life, particularly her studies.
Actress and filmmaker Leslie Lanier started Luna Soleil Studios, just last year and considering that her company works on what she says is no budget, Luna Soleil has been doing well, having completed several short films, so far.
The film’s synopsis reads; “The cosmos of the incurable Margarethe. Her journey through the mysteries of the Egypt underworld. Will she be coming forth by day?”
Earlier this year, Andreea utilized the time between the release and promotion of Julia 17 and the beginning of her next film project, to write and publish two books featuring her unique poetic works.
A native of Pittsburg, Texas, Brie Straiton is one half of the driving force behind Hurricane Bridge Entertainment, who brought horror fans the 2016 gorefest Night of Something Strange, in which Brie worked on both sides of the camera.
Ashton Helton is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Ashville, who majored in mass communications, and that’s a major that sure isn’t going to waste. This lady lives and breaths everything film related.
