What would have been Elissa Dowling’s interview

As stated in a few previous posts; sometimes, despite good efforts, some interviews just don’t pan out. However, I’m not going to let the time I spend researching the interviewee and coming up with good and pertinent questions, go to waste, as one can see from viewing all the incomplete interviews that have been published at this site.

I published this brief piece on actress Elissa Dowling back in March, as sort of a lead-in to the interview she’d agreed to. Since it didn’t happen, here are almost all of the questions I’d planned on asking her. I say “almost” because, after she previewed them, she informed me she’d pass on answering a couple for privacy reasons, which was fine with me. At left is where her photo would have gone and I would have given photo credit to the photographer here.

CHRIS CHARLES: You started on the performing arts by studying ballet as a child. I’ve interviewed several actresses who also studied ballet at a young age. Are you a fan of the ballet these days?
ELISSA DOWLING:

CHRIS: You’re currently getting ready to go to New York to shoot scenes for We Are Still Here. Can you give me a brief synopsis of that one and some details on your character in the film?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Axeman was very recently released on DVD. Did shooting that one all go smoothly or were there any particularly memorable mishaps?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You have an increasingly long list of horror film credits, in which you’ve mostly played unusual characters. Were any of them written specifically for you?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Do you usually try to fit the character as she is written or try to change the character to fit you?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You’ve had prominent roles in a couple of Ulli Lommel films, whose probably best-know for his films based on real-life serial killers. Any plans to work with him some more?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You were in Absolute Evil with David Carradine. What was it like to work with him?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: The first film I saw you in was Borderline Cult. Did you base your character “Melanie” on anyone in particular?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: According to your bio, you were the “lips” who sang “Science Fiction Double Feature” in a cable TV production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Were you ever in a stage production of The Rocky Horror Show?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You have quite a voice. What are some other stage musicals you’ve sung in?

CHRIS: Do you still occasionally perform with Deep?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Even though your initials are E.D., you say you’ve been responsible for plenty of erections, which I firmly believe. (Pun intended.) Are the vast majority of the fans you meet male or do you also have quite a few female fans?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: I wasn’t going to ask this but I don’t think you’ll mind if I do, especially since you’ve posted quite a few photos at your Facebook page, featuring this asset. (Again; pun intended) So…. You have a magnificent ass. Have you ever been cast in a role or photo shoot solely because you have a great butt?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You often appear at horror conventions and events. Have you ever had any strange meetings with or unusual requests from fans?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Ever been asked to sign anything strange?

CHRIS: You seem to be a real animal lover. How many pets do you have now?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Do you train any to do certain things or tricks?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Is there any special significance to your tattoo encircling your belly button?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: You are a prolific “Tweeter,” and some of your Tweets are pretty profound. Please be honest: Do you write on public restroom walls?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Do you have any interests or hobbies that fans would be surprised to hear you’re interested in?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Well with that, I thank you again for being a sweetheart and doing this interview for me Elissa. In closing, any plugs or shout-outs to anyone?
ELISSA:

CHRIS: Oh just one more question: Are you going to try to market your idea for “Fang Dentures”?
ELISSA:
