(Editor’s Note: Personally, these types of three-quarters-human-one-quarter-animal characters I’ve always found distasteful and downright creepy, especially when scantly clad and depicted as sexy, but what the hell. Just this once we’ll feature one here)
Trying my hand at inking, and I thought a good place to start would be the Crissy Carrots graphic novel I penciled so long ago as the cartoony nature of the project would be less exacting than a more photo-realistic project. It’s a very different sort of work from pencil drawing, but I AM having fun with it. When the pages are scanned for publication, the variance in ink tones will be smoothed out, but here’s a taste of what I’ve done so far. Rock is a pencil jockey by trade. He's done work for AC Comics, Main Enterprises, and Moonstone, among others. Some of the strips he's created include Dinosaur Girl (AC Comics, creator, writer, pencils), Crissy Carrots (Main, creator, writer, pencils), and Betsy the Bookwriter (Main, co-creator, writer, pencils). His specialty is cheesecake cartooning (what they call "good girl art" these days).
