The above scene from the 1998 black comedy Very Bad Things features a then-26-year old Kobe Tai as exotic dancer Tina, providing the entertainment for a group of five horny men (led by Christian Slater in one of his best performances) at a bachelor party in their Las Vegas hotel room. When one of the group decides to take Tina for a private “ride” in the bathroom and gets a little overzealous and inadvertently makes her a wall decoration, that’s the beginning of the very bad things that happen for the quintet. Although the above scene is the only one that features Kobe, this movie is definitely one worth seeing, especially if dark humor is your thing.
As far as Kobe; she retired from porn in 2003 but, according to a Tweet by her fellow Asian hardcore colleague Lily Thai, last February, signed with Lily’s manager and is now doing “bookings” with her.
Robert Boyd (Christian Slater) to his pals: “If you take away the horror of the scene, take away the tragedy of the death, take away all the moral and ethical implications that have been drilled into your head since grade one, do you know what you’re left with? A 105-pound problem that needs to be moved from point A to point B.”

I love this movie! One of Christian Slater’s best. I wonder why, after 25 years, this is Kobe’s only mainstream acting credit?
